Aromatherapy for the Chakra System

Aromatherapy for the Chakra System

The ancients created a profound system, the Chakras. While the original focus is primarily sought in transending our physical reality as the antidote for suffering, today it is common to balance and advance spiritually. The current challanges of our times can benefit greatly when we take time to quiet our bodies and minds and work to seek a deeper connection with the sacred; the self, spirit and natural world.

Integrating what we have lost and have yet to discover, within and around us, brings a wholeness and wellness that most can certainly enjoy and benefit from. About ten years ago I began exploring the Chakras but it wasn't until a few years later that I learned combining my Young Living essential oils with this practice that I found an even deeper sense of healing, wholeness, shifting, and connection. The aromatherapy benefits applied during any relaxing, focused, or meditative practice does facilitate the experience on perhaps more levels than we are aware. See Olfactory: Influence of Essential Oils on Both ind and Body

Initially, I used to diffuse my Young Living oils; which I found to enhance the overal experience. But using the oils topically I found created a much more interactive and nutruring dimension.
Young Living Essential Oils are great for helping your chakrasChakras are spinning vortexes of energy, which both take in and emit life-force energy. There are eight main chakras down the centerline of the body, from the top of the head to the bottom of the torso. When all chakras are spinning evenly and in concert with one another, the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual systems of the body are in balance. Therapeutic-grade essential oils are excellent for balancing and blending the chakras.
The following is a basic reference for how to use essential oils for activating and balancing the energy centers—chakras—of the body.

First Earth: The Root (or Base) Chakra

Essential oils: Valor® essential oil, Abundance™ essential oil
Apply topically to the bottoms of the feet and sacrum.
The root (or base) chakra is the first and most important chakra for yoga or any kind of healing work. The key words here are courage, security, safety, grounding, and boundaries.

Second Water: The Sacral Chakra

Essential oils: Peace & Calming® essential oil, Harmony™ essential oil
Apply topically below the navel.
The sacral chakra is the center of your creativity, desire, emotion, sexuality, and intuition. This is where you learn how to give and receive pleasure.

Third Fire: The Solar Plexus Chakra

Essential oils: Harmony™ essential oil , En-R-Gee™ essential oil
Apply topically below the sternum and behind the stomach.
The solar plexus chakra is the center of personal power, ambition, intellect, astral force, desire, and emotions based on intellect and touch.

Fourth Air: The Heart Chakra

Essential oil: Joy™ essential oil
Apply topically to the center of the chest at heart level.
The heart chakra is the center of compassion, love, group consciousness, and spiritually associated with "oneness" with "all that is."

Fifth Ether: The Throat Chakra

Essential oils: Believe™ essential oil, Valor® essential oil
Apply topically to the posterior neck and the base of the occiput (the back part of the head or skull).
The throat chakra is the center of communication, sound, and expression of creativity via thought, speech, and writing.

Sixth Light: Third Eye Chakra

Essential oils: Frankincense essential oil, Peppermint essential oil
Apply topically to the middle of the forehead and above the eyebrows.
The third eye chakra is the center of physic power, higher intuition, the energies of the spirit, magnetic forces, and light. This center is about Divine Thought, balanced intuition, and intellect.

Seventh Crown: The Crown Chakra

Essential oils: Frankincense essential oil, Lavender essential oil
Apply to the crown of the head.
The crown chakra is the center of spirituality, enlightenment, dynamic thought, and energy. The keyword is inspiration. This is the connecting link to your highest and finest self.
Weaving the the knowledge of ancient and modern civilization provides us with a pathway, an evolutionary journey of consciousness. I have found using therapeutic-grade essential oils enhance my work with the Chakra vortices in the subtle body, on the physical body, the central nerve ganglia which emanates from the spinal column, and on the spiritual level. The awakening to these levels is most profound and complimentary.

Why Essential Oils are Essential

Many Essential Oils repel virus, bacteria, and other microbes.

What Are Essential Oils? Essential oil are the subtle, aromatic and volatile liquids extracted from the flowers, seeds, leaves, stems, bark and roots of herbs, bushes, shrubs, and trees, through distillation. According to ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics and Chinese manuscripts, priests and physicians were using essential oils thousands of years before Christ to heal the sick. They are the oldest form of remedies and cosmetics known to man and were considered more valuable than gold. There are 188 references to oils in the Bible. Science is only now beginning to investigate the incredible healing properties of essential oils.

The Properties of Essential Oils
Pure Essential Oils Have Very High Frequency. The effectiveness of Essential Oils cannot be fully understood without some discussion of frequency. Frequency is the measurable rate of electrical energy flow that is constant between any two points. Everything has frequency. In his book The Body Electric, Dr. Robert O. Becker establishes that the human body has an electrical frequency and that much about a person's health can be determined by the person's frequency.

In 1992, Bruce Tainio of Tainio Technology, an independent division of Eastern State University in Cheney, Washington, built the first frequency monitor in the world. Tainio determined that the average frequency of the human body during the daytime is 62 to 68 MHz. (A healthy body frequency is (62 - 72 MHz.) When the frequency drops, the immune system is compromised.

If the frequency drops to 58 MHz, cold and flu symptoms appear. At 55 MHz, diseases like Candida take hold; at 52 MHz, Epstein-Barr and at 42 MHz, Cancer.

According to Dr. Royal R. Rife, every disease has a frequency. He found that certain frequencies can prevent the development of disease and that others would destroy disease. Substances with higher frequency will destroy diseases of lower frequency. The study of frequencies raises an important question about the frequencies of the substances we eat, breathe, and absorb. Many pollutants lower healthy frequency. Processed/canned food has a frequency of ZERO!! The frequency of fresh produce is only 15 MHz, dry herbs from 12 to 22 MHz and fresh herbs from 20 to 27 MHz. Essential Oils start at 52 MHz and go as high as 320 MHz, which is the frequency if rose oil.

Essential Oils Are Aromatic.
Essential Oils are highly aromatic and therefore, many of the benefits can be obtained by simply inhaling them. This can be done by breathing in the fragrance from the bottle, or they can be diffused into the room.

When diffused, Essential Oils can be the best air filtration system in the world. They will:

(1) Purify, by removing metallic particles and toxins from the air.
(2) Increase atmospheric oxygen.
(3) Increase ozone and negative ions in the house, which inhibits bacteria growth.
(4) Destroy odors from mold, cigarettes, and animals.
(5) Fill the air with a fresh, herbal aromatic scent.

Eliminate Mold Safely, Effectively, Permanently

Science has confirmed the powerful therapeutic secrets of essential oils. Thanks to a Breakthrough Scientific Discovery -- You Can Prevent and Eliminate Toxic Mold In as Little as 24 Hours Using Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils.

Two independent studies by Harvard and Johns Hopkins confirmed that more than 50% of the homes in North America have mold resulting from leaks and water damage, and that where mold is present there was a 50% to 100% increase in respiratory problems.

Fungi can cause health problems to both humans and animals by several different biological mechanisms: infections, allergenic or hypersensitivity reactions, irritant reactions, toxic reactions, and in certain cases they can even cause death. In fact there were 16 infants who died in

an area near Cleveland, Ohio, and the only commonality found among the cases was that all the houses where the infants had lived contained high levels of a toxic mold.

According University of Connecticut Health Center report , 2004, the following is a summary of symptoms that have been found to result from exposure to mold and toxic molds:

Allergies, asthma, lung problems, cancer, central nervous system problems, recurring colds, dandruff problems (chronic), skin problems, eye and vision problems, fatigue (chronic), flu symptoms (chronic), general malaise, sudden hair loss, headaches, hives, irritability, itching (of the nose, mouth, eyes, throat, skin or other areas), kidney failure, learning difficulties, mental dysfunction,

personality changes, peripheral nervous system effects, seizures, chronic sinus congestion, tremors, verbal dysfunction, and vomiting.

Bedwetting issues

My son is 9 years old and still wets the bed. What can I do to help him?

Bedwetting is often related to food allergies like dairy and wheat.
Often eliminating these foods, as well as refined sugar, which often create the problem of low blood sugar at night, will end the bedwetting problem.
Allergens act as irritants to the bladder and low blood sugar, which can happen if you eat simple carbo-hydrates like sweets before bed, can set the stage for bedwetting by keeping the brain from getting the signals through properly. Low blood sugar equals inadequate brain function. No sweets before bed. Protein snacks are much preferred.

A lot of bedwetting issues is related to emotions. Try some essential oils that have to do with emotional release such as Acceptance, Joy, Valor, Harmony, Release and/or Peace and Calming.

Lastly chiropractor and acupuncture can work to open the channels between the nerves and the brain

Toxic Chemicals in Babies After Using Bath Products!

Your skin absorbs everything you put on it. Chemically enhanced personal care products may be causing illness. Some say there is not enough proof, not enough studies to be conclusive, but I ask you, how much evidence do you need? Doesn't it seem smart to err on the side of caution, if indeed it is an error to eliminate toxins from your body?

I pulled this off the web:

CHICAGO (Feb. 4) - Baby shampoos, lotions and powders may expose infants to chemicals that have been linked with possible reproductive problems, a small study suggests.

The chemicals, called phthalates, are found in many ordinary products including cosmetics, toys, vinyl flooring and medical supplies. They are used to stabilize fragrances and make plastics flexible. In the study, they were found in elevated levels in the urine of babies who'd been recently shampooed, powdered or lotioned with baby products.

Phthalates (pronounced thowl-ates) are under attack by some environmental advocacy groups, but experts are uncertain what dangers, if any, they might pose. The federal government doesn't limit their use, although California and some countries have restricted their use.

Animal studies have suggested that phthalates can cause reproductive birth defects and some activists believe they may cause reproductive problems in boys and early puberty in girls.

Rigorous scientific evidence in human studies is lacking. The current study offers no direct evidence that products the infants used contained phthalates, and no evidence that the chemicals in the babies' urine caused any harm. Still, the results worried environmental groups that support restrictions on these chemicals.

"There is an obvious need for laws that force the beauty industry to clean up its act," said Stacy Malkan of Health Care Without Harm.

The study's lead author, Dr. Sheela Sathyanarayana, a University of Washington pediatrician, said, "The bottom line is that these chemicals likely do exist in products that we're commonly using on our children and they potentially could cause health effects."

Babies don't usually need special lotions and powders, and water alone or shampoo in very small amounts is generally enough to clean infant hair, Sathyanarayana said.

Concerned parents can seek products labeled "phthalate-free," or check labels for common phthalates, including DEP and DEHP.

But the chemicals often don't appear on product labels. That's because retail products aren't required to list individual ingredients of fragrances, which are a common phthalate source.

The Food and Drug Administration "has no compelling evidence that phthalates pose a safety risk when used in cosmetics," spokeswoman Stephanie Kwisnek said. "Should new data emerge, we will inform the public as well as the industry."

The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says the health effects in humans are uncertain.

"Although several studies in people have explored possible associations with developmental and reproductive outcomes (semen quality, genital development in boys, shortened pregnancy, and premature breast development in young girls), more research is needed," a 2005 CDC report said.

The new study, which appears in February's issue of the journal Pediatrics, involved 163 babies. Most were white, ages 2 to 28 months and living in California, Minnesota and Missouri.

The researchers measured levels of several phthalates in urine from diapers. They also asked the mothers about use in the previous 24 hours of baby products including lotions, powders, diaper creams and baby wipes.

All urine samples had detectable levels of at least one phthalate, and most had levels of several more. The highest levels were linked with shampoos, lotions and powders, and were most prevalent in babies younger than 8 months.

John Bailey, chief scientist at the Personal Care Products Council, questioned the methods and said the phthalates could have come from diapers, lab materials or other sources.

"Unfortunately, the researchers of this study did not test baby care products for the presence of phthalates or control for other possible routes of exposure," Bailey said.

Raindrop Technique

Rain Drop Therapy
Originated by D. Gary Young, founder of Young Living Essential Oils, raindrop technique is a noninvasive tool for helping to heal, balance, and relax the muscles and bones of the spine.

Antimicrobial essential oils are used to reduce inflammation in the body by killing bacterial and viral agents. This makes Raindrop Therapy an ideal technique to use when one is suffering from a cold, the flu, or chronic health problems.

The oils (primarily thyme, oregano, birch, cypress, peppermint, and basil) are dispensed like little drops of rain from a height of about six inches above the back and feathered along the vertebrae with very light strokes. The oils become warm and are absorbed into the body through the skin. The oils used in this treatment continue to work for the next five to seven days.
The Rain Drop Therapy is a one- hour appointment with 40 to 45 minutes hands on treatment costs Fifty Dollars. Usually the last 15 minutes is used with heat and hot stones to help relax your body and to fully absorb the oils into the body.

Raindrop technique can be customized based on your needs.
