Four Steps to Colon Cleansing

Colon cleansing is extremely beneficial for curing a number of ailments like chronic constipation, acne, chronic fatigue, candida and almost all kinds of digestive tract problems. On top of this, a colon cleansing is carried out using natural methods, so it has no negative side effects. Here are four steps of the most basic regimen:
1. The first step is to discontinue eating
anything that contains excessive chemicals or toxins and foods that slow down the digestive system. This includes all unnecessary medicines, dairy, caffeine, processed and junk food.. Start eating foods that are high in fiber content and restrict your diet to 3-4 meals a day. Do not overeat. Consume loads of water, fresh fruit and vegetable juices without sugar.
2. Start consuming bowel cleansing products.
3 Drink lots of water during your colon cleansing. It is a good
idea to take probiotic since a lot of good bacteria from your body also get flushed out along with toxins and wastes.
4. You will have to keep cleansing till you feel that you are rid of all your colon related problems or when you see mucoid plaque being excreted. You can continue taking this for even a month or two since there are no long lasting negative side
effects. In case you are doing a colon cleanse as a cure for acne then you might have to go in for liver flushes in order to get totally cured. Most practitioners also recommend that you go in for a colonic so as to clean your colon properly.
Once you clean your colon, you will start seeing positive changes instantly. You will get cured of constipation, bloating, candida, acne and colitis. At the same time, you will also notice an increase in your energy level and vitality. Most people also experience weight loss after a colon cleansing program.

Eliminate Mold Safely, Effectively, Permanently

Science has confirmed the powerful therapeutic secrets of essential oils. Thanks to a Breakthrough Scientific Discovery -- You Can Prevent and Eliminate Toxic Mold In as Little as 24 Hours Using Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils.

Two independent studies by Harvard and Johns Hopkins confirmed that more than 50% of the homes in North America have mold resulting from leaks and water damage, and that where mold is present there was a 50% to 100% increase in respiratory problems.

Fungi can cause health problems to both humans and animals by several different biological mechanisms: infections, allergenic or hypersensitivity reactions, irritant reactions, toxic reactions, and in certain cases they can even cause death. In fact there were 16 infants who died in

an area near Cleveland, Ohio, and the only commonality found among the cases was that all the houses where the infants had lived contained high levels of a toxic mold.

According University of Connecticut Health Center report , 2004, the following is a summary of symptoms that have been found to result from exposure to mold and toxic molds:

Allergies, asthma, lung problems, cancer, central nervous system problems, recurring colds, dandruff problems (chronic), skin problems, eye and vision problems, fatigue (chronic), flu symptoms (chronic), general malaise, sudden hair loss, headaches, hives, irritability, itching (of the nose, mouth, eyes, throat, skin or other areas), kidney failure, learning difficulties, mental dysfunction,

personality changes, peripheral nervous system effects, seizures, chronic sinus congestion, tremors, verbal dysfunction, and vomiting.

Bedwetting issues

My son is 9 years old and still wets the bed. What can I do to help him?

Bedwetting is often related to food allergies like dairy and wheat.
Often eliminating these foods, as well as refined sugar, which often create the problem of low blood sugar at night, will end the bedwetting problem.
Allergens act as irritants to the bladder and low blood sugar, which can happen if you eat simple carbo-hydrates like sweets before bed, can set the stage for bedwetting by keeping the brain from getting the signals through properly. Low blood sugar equals inadequate brain function. No sweets before bed. Protein snacks are much preferred.

A lot of bedwetting issues is related to emotions. Try some essential oils that have to do with emotional release such as Acceptance, Joy, Valor, Harmony, Release and/or Peace and Calming.

Lastly chiropractor and acupuncture can work to open the channels between the nerves and the brain

I am also a Young Living Essential Oils distributor. If interested in any oils, please contact me: lnitschke @gmail.com. (Eliminate space)

Does Your Skin Care Product Contain These Chemicals?

Potential toxins used in the name of beauty – not a fair trade….

Why don’t you run and get a bottle of any of the skin moisturizers that you are currently using. You might find that your personal care products contain one or probably more of many possibly dangerous ingredients.

Here are a few of the most common suspicious ingredients:

Mineral Oil, Paraffin, and Petrolatum Petroleum products that coat the skin like plastic, clogging pores and creating a build-up of toxins, which in turn accumulate and can lead to dermatologic issues. Slows cellular development, which can cause you to show earlier signs of aging. Suspected cause of cancer. Disruptive of hormonal activity. By the way, when there’s an oil spill in the ocean, don’t they rush to clean it up – fast? Why put that stuff on your skin?

Parabens – Widely used as preservatives in the cosmetic industry (including moisturizers). An estimated 13,200 cosmetic and skin care products contain parabens. Studies implicate their connection with cancer. They have hormone-disrupting qualities – mimicking estrogen – and interfere with the body’s endocrine system.

Phenol carbolic acidFound in many lotions and skin creams. Can cause circulatory collapse, paralysis, convulsions, coma and even death from respiratory failure.

Propylene glycol – Used as a moisturizer in cosmetics and as a carrier in fragrance oils. Shown to cause dermatitis, kidney or liver abnormalities, and may inhibit skin cell growth or cause skin irritation.

AcrylamideFound in many hand and face creams. Linked to mammary tumors in lab research.

Sodium laurel or lauryl sulfate (SLS), -- Found in car washes, engine degreasers, garage floor cleaners… and in over 90% of personal care products! SLS breaks down the skin’s moisture barrier, easily penetrates the skin, and allows other chemicals to easily penetrate. Combined with other chemicals, SLS becomes a “nitrosamine”, a potent class of carcinogen. It can also cause hair loss. SLES is sometimes disguised with the labeling “comes from coconut” or “coconut-derived”.

Toluene – Poison! Danger! Harmful or fatal if swallowed! Harmful if inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Made from petroleum or coal tar, and found in most synthetic fragrances. Chronic exposure linked to anemia, lowered blood cell count, liver or kidney damage, and may affect a developing fetus. Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) contains toluene. Other names may include benzoic and benzyl.

DioxaneFound in compounds known as PEG, Polysorbates, Laureth, ethoxylated alcohols. Common in a wide range of personal care products. The compounds are usually contaminated with high concentrations of highly volatile 1,4-dioxane, easily absorbed through the skin.
Dioxane’s carcinogenicity
was first reported in 1965 and later confirmed in studies including one from the National Cancer Institute in 1978. Nasal passages and liver are the most vulnerable. Dioxane is easily removed during the manufacturing process by “vacuum stripping”. Warning: It is a synthetic derivative of coconut. Watch for hidden language on labels, such as “comes from coconut”.

So, do you want to put these chemicals on your skin? Hopefully not...

You’d be better served by switching to skin care products made of plant names you recognize, can pronounce, and could even eat (if you had to).

Shocking news about the latest combo vaccine

I received this in an e-mail and had to share. Help spread the word

Shocking news about the latest combo vaccine

Dear Friend,

For years, I've been sounding the warning about the potential dangers of vaccines. I've told you that their effectiveness is questionable, and their side effects unknown. And I'm sad to say that my warnings have finally come to pass. Recently, a Merck & Co. vaccine caused some children to suffer from fever-related convulsions.

The vaccine is called ProQuad, and it's a combination of the MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) and chickenpox vaccines. It turns out that the toddlers who were given ProQuad – ages 12 to 23 months – had twice as many seizures as the kids who received the chickenpox vaccine and the MMR vaccine separately.

Incredibly, the results actually caused a federal advisory panel on vaccines to step back from recommending ProQuad over the individual vaccines. This marks a rare – if tepid – step down from the usual government endorsement of all things inoculation-related.

It's no wonder these kids are experiencing adverse reactions. The amount of chickenpox antigen found in ProQuad is – are you ready for this? – FIVE TIMES higher than in the stand-alone chickenpox vaccine. So not only does ProQuad have measles, mumps and rubella – it's also the equivalent of five chickenpox shots. All in one shot. For children.

Toxic Chemicals in Babies After Using Bath Products!

Your skin absorbs everything you put on it. Chemically enhanced personal care products may be causing illness. Some say there is not enough proof, not enough studies to be conclusive, but I ask you, how much evidence do you need? Doesn't it seem smart to err on the side of caution, if indeed it is an error to eliminate toxins from your body?

I pulled this off the web:

CHICAGO (Feb. 4) - Baby shampoos, lotions and powders may expose infants to chemicals that have been linked with possible reproductive problems, a small study suggests.

The chemicals, called phthalates, are found in many ordinary products including cosmetics, toys, vinyl flooring and medical supplies. They are used to stabilize fragrances and make plastics flexible. In the study, they were found in elevated levels in the urine of babies who'd been recently shampooed, powdered or lotioned with baby products.

Phthalates (pronounced thowl-ates) are under attack by some environmental advocacy groups, but experts are uncertain what dangers, if any, they might pose. The federal government doesn't limit their use, although California and some countries have restricted their use.

Animal studies have suggested that phthalates can cause reproductive birth defects and some activists believe they may cause reproductive problems in boys and early puberty in girls.

Rigorous scientific evidence in human studies is lacking. The current study offers no direct evidence that products the infants used contained phthalates, and no evidence that the chemicals in the babies' urine caused any harm. Still, the results worried environmental groups that support restrictions on these chemicals.

"There is an obvious need for laws that force the beauty industry to clean up its act," said Stacy Malkan of Health Care Without Harm.

The study's lead author, Dr. Sheela Sathyanarayana, a University of Washington pediatrician, said, "The bottom line is that these chemicals likely do exist in products that we're commonly using on our children and they potentially could cause health effects."

Babies don't usually need special lotions and powders, and water alone or shampoo in very small amounts is generally enough to clean infant hair, Sathyanarayana said.

Concerned parents can seek products labeled "phthalate-free," or check labels for common phthalates, including DEP and DEHP.

But the chemicals often don't appear on product labels. That's because retail products aren't required to list individual ingredients of fragrances, which are a common phthalate source.

The Food and Drug Administration "has no compelling evidence that phthalates pose a safety risk when used in cosmetics," spokeswoman Stephanie Kwisnek said. "Should new data emerge, we will inform the public as well as the industry."

The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says the health effects in humans are uncertain.

"Although several studies in people have explored possible associations with developmental and reproductive outcomes (semen quality, genital development in boys, shortened pregnancy, and premature breast development in young girls), more research is needed," a 2005 CDC report said.

The new study, which appears in February's issue of the journal Pediatrics, involved 163 babies. Most were white, ages 2 to 28 months and living in California, Minnesota and Missouri.

The researchers measured levels of several phthalates in urine from diapers. They also asked the mothers about use in the previous 24 hours of baby products including lotions, powders, diaper creams and baby wipes.

All urine samples had detectable levels of at least one phthalate, and most had levels of several more. The highest levels were linked with shampoos, lotions and powders, and were most prevalent in babies younger than 8 months.

John Bailey, chief scientist at the Personal Care Products Council, questioned the methods and said the phthalates could have come from diapers, lab materials or other sources.

"Unfortunately, the researchers of this study did not test baby care products for the presence of phthalates or control for other possible routes of exposure," Bailey said.

Raindrop Technique

Rain Drop Therapy
Originated by D. Gary Young, founder of Young Living Essential Oils, raindrop technique is a noninvasive tool for helping to heal, balance, and relax the muscles and bones of the spine.

Antimicrobial essential oils are used to reduce inflammation in the body by killing bacterial and viral agents. This makes Raindrop Therapy an ideal technique to use when one is suffering from a cold, the flu, or chronic health problems.

The oils (primarily thyme, oregano, birch, cypress, peppermint, and basil) are dispensed like little drops of rain from a height of about six inches above the back and feathered along the vertebrae with very light strokes. The oils become warm and are absorbed into the body through the skin. The oils used in this treatment continue to work for the next five to seven days.
The Rain Drop Therapy is a one- hour appointment with 40 to 45 minutes hands on treatment costs Fifty Dollars. Usually the last 15 minutes is used with heat and hot stones to help relax your body and to fully absorb the oils into the body.

Raindrop technique can be customized based on your needs.

Synthetic Estrogens Wreak Havoc On Your Reproductive System

Researchers are developing a clearer understanding of why the synthetic estrogens found in many widely-used plastics can cause damage to a developing fetus, fertility problems, and vaginal and breast cancers.

Past research has shown that exposure to the synthetic estrogen diethylstilbestrol (DES) alters the expression of HOXA10, a gene necessary for uterine development. By studying the DNA of the offspring of 30 pregnant mice injected with DES, researchers found changes in certain regions of the HOXA10 gene that continued beyond the time of development and persisted into adulthood.

HOXA 10 protein expression was shifted to the bottom portion of the uterus in the female offspring, indicating that DES is actually changing the structure of the HOXA 10 gene.

The Master Weaver

The Master Weaver

Our lives are but fine weavings,
that God and we prepare,
each life becomes a fabric planned,
and fashioned in his care . . .

We may not always see,
just how the weavings intertwine,
but we must trust the Master's hand,
and follow His design.

For He can view the pattern,
upon the upper side,
while we must look from underneath,
and trust in Him to guide.

Sometimes a strand of sorrow,
is added to His plan,
and though it's difficult for us,
we still must understand.

That it's He who flies the shuttle,
it's He who knows what's best,
so we must weave in patience,
and leave to Him the rest . . .

Not till the loom is silent,
and the shuttles cease to fly,
shall God unroll the canvas,
and explain the reason why.

The dark threads are as needed,
in the Weaver's skillful hand,
as the threads of gold and silver,
in the pattern He has planned.

Vaccinations ~ Beware Before Vaccinating

The Danger of Excessive Childhood Vaccinations

By Russell L. Blaylock, M.D.

In 1976, children received 10 vaccines before attending school. Today they will receive over 36 injections. The American Academy of Pediatrics and the Center for Disease Control assured parents that it was safe to not only give these vaccines, but that they could be given at one time with complete safety.

Is this true? Or are we being lied to on a grand scale?

The medical establishment has created a set of terms, which they use constantly to boost their egos and firm up their authority as the unique holders of medical wisdom -- the mantra is “evidence-based medicine”, as if everything outside their anointing touch is bogus and suspect.

A careful examination of many of the accepted treatments reveals that most have little or no scientific “evidence-based” data to support it. One often repeated study found that almost 80 percent of medical practice had no scientific backing.

I find it interesting that there exist an incredible double standard when it comes to our evidence versus theirs. The proponents of vaccination safety can just say they are safe, without any supporting evidence what-so-ever, and it is to be accepted without question.

Yet, let me, or anyone else, suggest that excessive vaccination can increase the risk of not only autism, but also schizophrenia and neurodegenerative diseases, and they will scream like banshees – Where is the evidence? Where is the evidence?

When we produce study after study, they always proclaim them to be insufficient evidence or unacceptable studies.

More often than not, they just completely ignore the evidence. This is despite the fact that we produce dozens or even hundreds of studies that not only demonstrate the link clinically and scientifically, but also clearly show the mechanism by which the damage is being done -- even on a molecular level. These include cell culture studies, mixed cell cultures, organotypic tissue studies, in vivo animal studies using multiple species and even human studies. To the defenders of vaccine safety -- our evidence is never sufficient and, if we face reality -- never will be.

The Autism Disaster: Is it Man Made?

In the early 1980s, the incidence of autism was 1 in 10,000 births. By 2005, the incidence had leaped to 1 in 250 births, and today it is 1 in 150 births and still climbing.

One of the strongest links to this terrible set of disorders was a drastic change in the vaccine programs of the United States and many other countries, which included a dramatic increase in the number of vaccines being given at a very early age. No other explanation has been forthcoming from the medical elite.

In this paper I shall present evidence, some of which has not been adequately discussed, that provides a connection between excessive vaccination and neurodevelopmental disorders.

I urge you to read Dr. Blaylock’s full-length article, The Danger of Excessive Vaccination During Brain Development: The Case for a Link to Autism Spectrum Disorders, a Mercola.com exclusive, for a in-depth understanding of how childhood vaccinations can damage your child’s brain, resulting in autism.

Carcinogens in Personal Care

Carcinogens Found in "Organic" Personal Care Products

A newly released study commissioned by the Organic Consumers Association found that many leading "natural" and "organic" brand shampoos, body washes, and lotions contain the carcinogenic contaminant 1,4-Dioxane.

Ethoxylation, a cheap short-cut companies use to provide mildness to harsh ingredients, uses the cancer-causing petrochemical Ethylene Oxide, which generates 1,4-Dioxane as a by-product.

Contaminated products include some of those in the JASON Pure Natural & Organics, Giovanni Organic Cosmetics, Kiss My Face, and Nature’s Gate Organics lines.

My Introduction

My name is Laurie Nitschke and I am the owner of Essential Health Kneads. I have been practicing, privately, nutritional healing for the last 27 years. My oldest son, when born, was allergic to most foods and all prescription drugs. I had to learn how to use good nutrition, homeopathy and herbs to heal him when he became sick.
In 1999, I adopted a 7 year old boy, who was still failure to thrive, weighed only 38 lbs., was severely covered in bruises that would not heal and had many other issues. Through nutrition he was able to stop taking all his prescriptions (depakote, prozac, singular, ritalin, and many others). He would suffer horribly with asthma to the point of having collapsed lungs. He is now a very healthy, happy boy who no longer needs any medication, no asthma issues and no more steroids because of those issues.
In 2002 I became very ill and was given one-year to live. Through nutrition and a radical change in my eating I am well and going today.
With all the past experience I decided to go back to school in 2003 and obtain my Bachelors of Science degree in Wellness Management with a minor in Health Science through SUNY Oswego, Oswego, NY. I received my degree in 2006. In 2005 I registered and obtained my certificate to be a Holistic Health Counselor from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in Manhattan, NY. I am now board certified through American Association of Drugless Practitioners as a Holistic Health Practitioner.
My practice focus is to find the root of the patients ill health and address the problem, so that the symptoms disappear. I am not a medical doctor so I can not diagnose, treat or cure any disorders. I believe that each of us can heal our bodies with proper nutrition, proper balance and proper focus.
I am not anti-medical, however I am against the over usage of prescription drugs that just mask the problem. I do think that living a healthy lifestyle can prevent many of the minor symptoms that people use over the counter drugs for. I do think that essential oils, proper nutrition and nutritional supplementation all have a place in health and wellness, and all can be effective in helping the body regain its healing balance.
I look at each patient as an individual. Everyone is different, although there are common threads that connect us all in our search for wellness. I consider each persons journey for better health as a puzzle that we can put together as a team. I'm very serious about your health and helping you to find a lifestyle that can fit your needs and heal at the same time.
Laurie's practice involves natural health classes, using essential oils and ionic detox foot bath. Laurie is also very interested in healthy, natural skin care products, for what you put onto your skin affects your health.
Laurie had a practice in Baldwinsville, NY from 2004-2007, then moved to Ooltewah, TN (near Chattanooga). Essential Health Kneads is a growing and thriving business in the Chattanooga area.
Laurie does public speaking about health, wellness issues, essential oils and she writes health articles for American Diversity Report, which is published monthly and occasional for Natural Awakenings. Laurie has a FREE newsletter for anyone interested. For any information or questions call (423) 774-1312 or email: lanitschke@ gmail.com (take out the space).
