Foods Fighting Disease

I have been asked which foods can fight disease and I thought that would be a great article.

The first role of planning  good nutrition for your body, is to feed your body for strength and build your immune system. First start with probiotics to enhance the quantity and quality of the friendly bacteria in your intestinal tract.  This bacteria is 80% your immune defense system. Probiotics enhance nutrition absorption and toxin elimination. Good health begins in the intestine.
Antioxidants is the next big step for your system.  antioxidants help your system to prevent free radicals.  Free radicals damage healthy tissues.  You can obtain antioxidants naturally by increasing your intake of fruits and vegetable.  Essential fatty acids re needed for cell repair which can be obtained through fish, evening primrose oil, cod liver oil and tuna oil.
Increase your fiber intake.  Fiber helps to remove toxins from your system that normal would recirculate and cause damage to your organs.  Fiber helps with digestion issues.
Your diet should include high density foods which may help with your system resist disease, such as cancer, high blood pressure, diabetes, etc.
Reduce your stress level, this is major issue for most people today.  Find what ever works for you: movies, books, exercise, walks, being with friends, prayer, God time, exploring the outdoors.  Find something and incorporate into your daily schedule, be sure it is fun!
Avoid fast foods, saturated foods, hydrogenated fats, refined carbohydrates, processed foods and caffeine rob us of needed vulnerable nutrients and leads to disease.
Decrease your health risks by eating a variety of low-fat, high-fiber diet and reducing your exposure to toxins.
Detox is absolutely wonderful for removing years of accumulated toxins in the system.  Detox twice a year, Spring and Autumn.
